Configuring the Visigo Chrome Extension

Article #: Product: Version:

The Visigo Chrome extension needs to communicate with the concentrator API. To do this, you need to supply the organization ID to the extension.

The organization ID is provided to the extension via Google's policy framework. Once you have assigned the extension to one or more organization units, you can then apply the settings.

  1. Deploy the app:
    1. Navigate to and login with your administrator credentials.
    2. Click Device management.
    3. On the DEVICE SETTINGS menu, click Chrome management.
    4. Note: You might need to accept the Terms and Conditions.

    5. Click User settings.
    6. Under the Apps and Extensions section, from the Force-installed Apps and Extensions parameter, click Manage force-installed apps.
    7. Click Specify a Custom App.
    8. Enter the extension ID: mbdjjgkmchkphpboidoammililehkjin.
    9. And the URL:
    10. Click Add and then Save.
  2. Configure the app:
    1. Navigate back to Chrome management by clicking Chrome in the breadcrumb link at the top of the page.
    2. Click App Management and find and click the Visigo app that you just deployed.
    3. Click User Settings and from the Orgs list, click the appropriate organization unit.
    4. Under Settings for {your organisation} and Configure:
      • If you are setting up for the first time, click Override.
      • If you are updating, you need to click X next to view.
    6. In the Open dialog box, right-click, point to New and click Text Document.
    7. Name the file, Visigo.json, right-click it and click Open.
    8. Copy the code into the file but replace the Org ID with your own:
      	"Visigo": {
      		"Value": {
      			"OrgID": "put-your-Org-ID-here"
    10. Click Save and then Open.

Note: You can get your organization ID from the Visigo portal or your account representative.
