Summary
GoToMeeting will try to connect via ports 80
or 443
which would be intercepted if you are using your proxy transparently. If it fails to connect on ports 80
or 443
, it will try 8200
.
Problem
Unable to use GoToMeeting
Solution
8200
on your firewall.
If you are using our Secure Web Gateway or Software SWG (previously known as Network Guardian), are on a release earlier than Inverness, and using your own local firewall, these will need to be configured within the firewall outgoing port configuration of your local firewall.
If you are using our Unified Threat Management product on a release earlier than Inverness, the outgoing port rules can be configured under Network > Outgoing > Ports where you can configure a rule containing these destination IPs with the port rule of either Allow All, Basic Services or a custom rule of your own configuration.
If you are using Unified Threat Management or Secure Web Gateway on the Inverness release or later, add a Firewall rule to Network > Firewall > Firewall rules to allow access to port 8200
.
Additionally, this article from Citrix advises how to correctly set up GoTo products (such as GoToMeeting, GoToMyPC, and so on).
